How we protect you

Payments in FYNvet are handled by Stripe. When you pay, you type your card details into Stripe's secure payment form, and they go straight to Stripe.

• FYNvet never sees or stores your full card number.
• We keep only what you need to see your history: the amount, the payment status, and the receipt.
• Money you pay your clinic goes to the clinic through Stripe. Questions about a charge or a refund go to your clinic.

The records you upload, such as lab results, vaccine records, X-rays and invoices, are kept in private storage, never on a public link. Files open only through links that expire after a short time.

• Your clinic can see your records only when you turn on “Let my hospital's coordinator see my records”.
• If you haven't set up your account yet, your clinic can record the permissions you signed on a paper form. Once you sign in, the settings are yours to change.
• Other FYNvet hospitals can only see that records exist (your pet's name, species and breed, and your first name and last initial), and only if you turn that on. They can't open the files.
• A claim goes to your insurer only when you submit it, and only with the records you attach.

• Turn each permission on or off at any time in Settings → Privacy & sharing.
• Every change is saved in a history you can read. Nobody can edit or backdate it.
• Download a copy of your data, or delete your account and data, whenever you like.
• We do not sell your personal information.

• Your information is stored with Supabase, which encrypts data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS).
• Access rules sit on every table in the database, so each account reaches only the information it is allowed to. Clinic staff see only their own clinic's clients, and can open a client's uploaded records only when that client allows it.
• Passwords are never stored in plain text. Our sign-in provider keeps only a secure hash.

FYNvet keeps an audit log of important actions, such as when a claim is sent to an insurer, when you download your data, and when a clinic records a paper consent form. You can see the entries about you in Settings, and clinic admins can review their clinic's log.

• FYNvet is not a veterinarian. It stores and organizes information and does not diagnose, treat, or give veterinary advice. In an emergency, call your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital.
• FYNvet is not your insurance company. Your insurer decides whether a claim is covered, how much it pays, and when. Coverage and out-of-pocket amounts shown before a claim is decided are estimates.
• Pet records are not covered by HIPAA, which protects human health information. We keep them private anyway, as described on this page.
